We are now entering our seventh winter season of the Lincoln-Way Xplosion Basketball Club. Seven years ago, this program began with one boy’s team looking for top-level competitive basketball.  Over the years, the program has developed into what is now 19 teams that consist of over 190 boys and girls at the fourth through eight grade levels.  This includes boys and girls from Mokena, Frankfort, New Lenox, Manhattan, Tinley Park, and Frankfort Square.  T

As of this year, our club has over 50 alumni playing on basketball teams in the Lincoln-Way school district.  Our program prides itself as being recognized as the developmental feeder program for the area Junior High and Lincoln-Way High School basketball programs.  We are extremely thankful for the support they continue to give our program. 

Moving forward, our focus will continue to be placed on providing highly qualified and motivated coaches who teach fundamental and advanced basketball skills to student athletes who desire to compete in a focused, supportive and disciplined team environment.  Additionally, we will continue to offer camps that focus on skills such as dribbling and shooting and increasing players’ strength and stamina.   The program has also partnered with professional instructors in our area who have dedicated themselves to helping our program develop basketball players in our community. 

We are looking forward to the excitement of the 2012/2013.  We will continue to keep everyone updated with upcoming events, program changes, coaching opportunities, partnerships, and weekly organizational updates.  We are also planning to highlight the journey and successes of our alumni as they continue to achieve greatness in the game of basketball.
